The role:
As a Test Engineer at Carnival UK, you will be required to work with other Test Team members, project stakeholders & suppliers in order to deliver quality changes to Production. You will test a suite of software applications that are in use in our head office and cruise ships around the world.
This role will include:
- Manual & Automation test scripting, maintenance and execution experience using wide range of toolset for functional and non-functional testing.
- Working in Waterfall & Agile delivery for on-prem infrastructure and cloud solutions like AWS/Azure.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Dev-ops principles, tools, and techniques
- Planning & progressing test activities within broad professional guidelines & organisational policy
- Working in a team as well as independently
- This is an automation tester role, but candidate will be supporting manual testing as required.
- The test engineer should adept in setting up automation frameworks from the scratch
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK09 and is offered on a full-time permanent position, with at least two days based in our Southampton office.
About You
Fresh ideas and different perspectives are what excite us most and help us to succeed. We’d expect a candidate to have a minimum of 3-4 years automation experience. Essential to this role you will need:
- Mandatory Skills -
- ISQTB Foundation Certificate
- Working knowledge of automation testing in Desktop, Web, API, mobile and mainframe applications in Selenium as well as a number of the following frameworks - Protractor, Cypress, Appium, TestCafe, Cucumber, Chai, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Junit, TestNG, Maven, Applitools etc.
- Cloud test automation experience in technologies like AWS, GCP, Azure.
- CI CD/DevOps: Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Chef, Ansible, Docker Containers, Kubernetes, Node JS, NPM, or similar
- Integrating automation suite with Jira, TestRail, etc.
- Good to have -
- Non-functional testing experience in JMeter, Blazemeter, Gatling, ZAP, or similar.
- Service Now ATF skills
- ISTQB Certified Tester - Test Automation Engineer
- Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
- An appetite to learn, be a self-starter and take initiative when necessary.
- Follow Carnival ‘Cultural Essentials’ including being a positive thinker with a can-do attitude.
