Job Description

Set your sights on a future in finance and procurement with a role designed for aspiring professionals. This Specialist, Technical Receipt Resolution role within the Technical Procurement team at Carnival UK offers a unique blend of learning, growth, and hands-on experience in the heart of our Procurement and Supply Chain function.  It’s your chance to start building a solid foundation in this field, contributing to our strategic goals while honing your analytical skills.

Role Overview

Our Technical Procurement team helps keep our fleet supplied with the technical parts and equipment it needs. Working closely with our Technical Expediting team, Maritime colleagues, ship teams, logistics, Finance and suppliers, we look after the end-to-end procure-to-pay process – making sure goods arrive on time and suppliers are paid accurately.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Resolving receipting, invoice and payment queries, so suppliers are paid accurately and on time
  • Working with purchase orders to check, reconcile and match figures across receipts, invoices and our systems
  • Liaising with ships, suppliers, shoreside teams and Finance colleagues to resolve queries and build strong working relationships
  • Using Excel to review data and support supplier delivery performance and KPI reporting across the team

This role is classified as CUK12 and is available on a full-time, 6-month fixed-term basis (end date May 2027). We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

About you: the ideal candidate

You are more than just your CV. You're someone who brings:

  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy, particularly when working with figures
  • Confidence to communicate proactively with ships, suppliers and colleagues across the business
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Curiosity about data and a willingness to dig into the numbers to get to the root of a query.

In this role, your distinct personal attributes will be the key to standing out. We are on the lookout for candidates who want to excel. If you possess qualities that can drive success in finance and procurement, we want you on our team. Your ability to blend analytical skills with interpersonal strengths will set the foundation for innovation and growth within our Technical Procurement team.

We recognise the value in having people with a variety of backgrounds, experience, and skills in our business. That means the role requirements here should be seen as a guide, not a checklist.
