Role Overview

Our Maritime Asset Strategy Transformation (MAST) team is busier than ever, and we want to bring you along for the ride! 

MAST is our centralised maintenance, inventory and procurement system (AMOS) that uses fleetwide operational data across the full Carnival Corporate Fleet of 90+ ships to improve equipment maintenance, optimise spare part inventories and leverage buying power across the company’s cruise lines and ships.

The Technical Data Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise to support MAST Global Data Team's operations, working closely with various stakeholder groups.

This position deals with data issue triage, generation and implementation of technical solutions to resolve data issues, providing database and related technical advisory to other team members, as well as taking part in Global Data Team's initiatives or projects.  

This pivotal role will:

  • Act as the technical expert for Asset Management data model and database structure within the team, enabling efficient metadata support for Carnival Corporation and the respective brands. 
  • Be a key member in the data scrum team. Providing timely technical solutions to drive reduction of data issue backlog. 
  • Participate in major data triage, develop and implement sound technical solutions in resolving Asset Management related data issues. Enabling issue resolution decision by clearly articulating related impact and risks.                                                                                         
  • Support Global Data Team projects and initiatives through technical data expertise where complex database handling and/or mass data update is necessary.                                      
  • Improve data integrity, data quality and team performance through creation of relevant reporting solutions or KPI metrics.

This role is positioned at CUK09 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Expertise in database management, development and administration
  • Experience in major data migration projects
  • A strong understanding on relational database for applications related to equipment maintenance, inventory or procurement.
  • Expert in SQL: querying database environments, as well as MS Office specifically Excel.
