An exciting opportunity has arisen for a System Support Specialist to join our Product Systems Support team within Supply Chain on a 12 Month FTC

The Role

This is an exciting and varied role that will be part of a team whose main objective is to provide a comprehensive and professional service in a highly customer focused environment. In this role you will manage the ongoing system set up / data entry requirements in order to ensure smooth processing for the system users. You will be responsible for liaising with and supporting the data / system stakeholders in reviewing processes and implementing change to improve day to day processes, striving for a ‘best of class’ end-to-end process.

You will ensure that the data within the Hotel operations systems reaches the required standards of

  • Completeness
  • Conformity to corporate and departmental standards
  • Consistency across systems and ships
  • Accuracy

For at least two days a week, you’ll be based out of our fantastic offices in the heart of Southampton, less than two hours from central London. In our hybrid working environment, you can also expect to balance this with time spent working remotely every week.

To be considered as a System Support Specialist you will need to have experience of:

  • MS Excel and Word to an advanced level
  • Data management
  • Hospitality systems- ePOS, PMS, Inventory Management, etc

In addition, you will have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in execution along with strong process orientation, able to apply clarity of purpose and define simple, robust operating processes.

You will be capable of networking and influencing both internally and externally as well as being an influential communicator, able to discuss complex issues with clarity and credibility to a cross functional audience including internal stakeholders and suppliers

If this role requires you to visit and/or work on a Carnival UK ship, the successful candidate needs to be fully vaccinated (with a WHO or MHRA approved two-dose COVID-19 vaccination course or single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine), including any relevant booster vaccinations. This is to maintain a safe environment onboard and reduce the risk of outbreaks, to protect our crew and our Guests. It's also required for ships to dock and enjoy shoreside visits in many Ports of Call on global itineraries. This requirement will be under regular review.

As part of the Shared Services function, our Procurement and Supply Chain teams make sure that both our fleet of ships and our shore teams have everything they need, wherever its needed in the world, to give our guests an incredible experience and to support all of our business ambitions. We source and supply hundreds of millions of pounds of goods and services across Food, Technical, Marketing, IT, Ports and many other categories, driving value for money, innovation, quality and service throughout our supply chains whilst being custodians of ethical and sustainable sourcing.
Working across all categories, the Procurement and Supply Chain team are constantly listening and evolving to meet the needs of our business and we offer attractive career routes that see exceptional buyers and supply chain professionals getting to experience the huge breadth of experiences that Carnival UK has to offer. Our Facilities Team are also part of the structure. The team manages all of our facilities, including Carnival House. This includes day to day operations as well as supporting the business infrastructure in regards to health, environment, safety and security.
