Carnival UK is in search of a Senior Advertising Manager, who is crucial in supporting our Advertising and Partnerships direction within the P&O Cruises team to nurture a high-performing team. 

Role Overview

The Senior Advertising Manager is accountable for the formulation and delivery of P&O Cruises advertising and advertising partnerships marketing strategy. 

This role leads the strategic direction of our AV and offline media. Oversees the creation of compelling (multi-channel) AV creative to increase brand engagement, consideration and conversion. Take overall accountability for the co-ordination of media planning and associated asset delivery, driving effectiveness of advertising media across all channels.

The Senior Advertising Manager leads the strategic direction of our advertising partnerships strategy to reach and engage new audiences. To identify partnerships which align to our target audience with the objective of driving cruise reappraisal and commercial outcomes.  To leverage our brand properties to demonstrate contextual relevance. Using impactful marketing, to encourage lead generation and direct to brand engagement. To co-ordinate the planning, advertising delivery and continuous performance review of all new partnerships. To lead the creative strategy, ensuring we powerfully communicate our brand platform, Holiday Like Never Before.

Broad cross-functional collaboration is central to the role, as P&O Cruises strives to become more disruptive in appealing to an increasingly mainstream holiday audience, whilst building a database of loyal and repeat guests. Collaboration with the P&O Cruises Brand Director to leverage our brand partnerships and stories is critical.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Accountable for planning and delivering all advertising and offline media
  • To manage the relationship and associated activation of our advertising partnerships, including but not limited to BAFTA, Pride of Britain, Southampton Football Club and Adventures on 4.
  • To lead the creative strategy and execution of new POC TV advertisements
  • To lead the commercial review of media channels, using marketing effectiveness and other insight to make recommendations for future media investment and optimization

Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK06, offered as a full-time position, on a fixed term basis, we offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

Requirements: Your Expertise and Leadership

To thrive as a Senior Advertising Manager, we're looking for:

  • Management and leadership of teams and associated coaching and development
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing impactful creative strategies
  • Extensive experience in managing large national sponsorships, including relationship management, activation and measurement
  • A deep understanding of econometrics, attribution, analytics, and other marketing effectiveness measures
