An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen within our Technology department for a highly capable Lead End User Specialist to join the team here at Carnival UK.

With new ships on the horizon, our business is growing rapidly.The Technology team based in Southampton support our shore based colleagues with a range of IT solutions, as well as supporting our ships which provide brilliant holiday experiences for our guests.
The Role
Working as part of a close knit team of 4, you’ll be a point of escalation for your fellow End User Computing (EUC) team members and colleagues who require support from the team. You’ll be responsible for providing technical support, guidance and leading automation initiatives wherever possible. You’ll also be accountable to for ensuring the complex EUC environment meets all compliance regulations utilizing SCCM and MDM tools to resolve issues across our end user estate.
To ensure continuous improvement, you’ll find ways to efficiently document complex tasks and known issues, to ensure the EUC team embed learnings and continually improve ways of working.
In addition, as a Lead Specialist you’ll help to bridge the gap between Service Desk, End User and 3rd line teams – helping us operate as a single Technology function.As part of this, a never ending focus on our colleagues and guests is essential.
About You
We would expect you to have demonstrable experience within EUC technologies, including MS SCCM, Windows, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Web Browsers etc. You will have a good understanding of how all technologies work together including the principles of Networking, Server and Storage products.
You will challenge the norm and apply best practice to drive innovation and change into the EUC estate, reducing workload through process and technical innovation.
You will possess leadership qualities and strong communication for times when you’ll represent the EUC team to the business.
We’ll also expect to see proven experience working in a 2nd / 3rd line Desktop Environment on your CV.
