Job Description

As the first point of contact for our colleagues and visitors, the Facilities Coordinator will ensure the smooth, professional running of our Reception Desk. You’ll deliver a high quality, welcoming service that reflects the Carnival UK brand and values — with a primary focus on Reception to provide the stability and continuity our front of house area needs. You’ll be cross trained to support the Post Room and Dockmaster’s Office when required, but this role will be predominantly based on Reception.

This role is classified as CUK14 and is available on a full-time 9-month fixed term, basis.

Requirements: What You Need to Succeed

Successful candidates will possess:

•    A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
•    Computer literate and great communication skills
•    Adaptable to changing priorities and excellent attention to detail
•    Previous customer facing experience is advantageous

We recognise the value in having people with a variety of backgrounds, experience, and skills in our business. That means the role requirements here should be seen as a guide, not a checklist.

Desirable but not essential:

•    Welcome visitors and provide a professional, friendly front of house experience.
•    Manage the switchboard and handle calls efficiently.
•    Oversee visitor bookings, check ins, and security access processes.
•    Administer ID cards, access passes, and maintain accurate records.
•    Coordinate car park permits and monitor related logs.
•    Keep Reception organised, presentable, and stocked with materials.
•    Respond promptly to queries via phone, email, and in person.
•    Maintain safety and security awareness, addressing issues proactively.

About You: The Ideal Candidate

You’re people centred, calm and organised, with a passion for great service and a keen eye for detail.

You bring:

•    Strong relationship skills and effective communication.
•    Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail; able to follow precise instructions and meet deadlines.
•    Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and email systems.
•    A proactive, flexible approach — learning quickly and supporting the wider Facilities team when needed.

Why Join Us?

We are about being part of a community that values growth, work-life balance, and wellbeing.

Some of our benefits include:

•    Employee Discounted Cruising plus Friends and Family offers
•    Recognition scheme with prizes and awards
•    Regular office events including live entertainment, lifestyle events and charity partner fundraisers
•    Extensive learning and development opportunities
•    Onsite restaurant offering range of healthy cooked and grab and go meals
•    Discounted retail and leisure via discounts portal
•    Minimum 25 days leave, bank holiday allowance and holiday trading scheme
•    A friendly welcome with help settling in
