The Role
Our Technology Infrastructure team are looking to welcome an Environments Engineer to take responsibility for establishing and deploying an environment for developing, continually improving, and securely operating software and systems products and services.
The Technology team are undergoing an exciting transformation programme and the introduction of this new role will enable us to provide operational support and development of all pre-production environments across all our locations and platforms.
You will
- Elicit requirements for systems and software life cycle working practices and automation, prepare design options for the working environment of methods, procedures, techniques, tools, and people. Select systems and software life cycle working practices for software components and micro-services.
- Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures.
- Use infrastructure management tools to determine load and performance statistics. Configure tools and/or creates scripts to automate the provisioning, testing and deployment of new and changed infrastructure. Maintains operational procedures and checks that they are executed following agreed standards.
- Investigates and enables the resolution of operational issues. Provides reports and proposals for improvement, to specialists, users and managers.
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK09 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, a minimum of 3 days per week.

- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code Automation
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud services
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Be technically proficient to effectively perform comprehensive root cause analysis
