This pivotal role is responsible for producing a wide range of emails for a busy communications team across two principal areas; communications (covering campaign, engagement and loyalty communications) and lifecycle (covering triggered communication journeys such as welcome, pre-cruise, post cruise and reactivation). You’ll take full ownership of each email you’re assigned to, which involves planning, designing, building, testing and sending. You’ll also update existing communications, each time ensuring they are visually compelling and effective for broadcast. 

Key Responsibilities 

• You’ll be part of the briefing process bringing through your email marketing expertise to create a wireframe, ensuring it has potential to communicate to multiple guests receiving the email. 
• Designing the email includes choosing the images (enhancing and manipulating images where required) as well as adding and creating the supporting copy. Animation in email  (either in code or gifs) is encouraged. 
• Building the email involves using an email editor, which also has ability to host custom HTML/CSS. At times you may need to access the template to amend it.
• You’ll test the email on key devices including browser, tablet and mobile to ensure it appears as you desire and fix where required.
• You’ll send the email to large number of people, so confidence to do this is important.
• At the end of the email send, you’ll report on it’s performance and look into how the communication could be improved for the next time it’s planned.
• The email journey is a continuous process that calls for a sharp analytical mind, just as much as it does a creative one.

This role is positioned at CUK10 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time,  fixed term contract basis for 12 months. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

What You'll Bring:

Your unique background and skills are what will make you stand out. We're looking for:

• Familiarity with the design and creation of branded email campaigns
• Experience of HTML/CSS or if possible other coding languages, such as Python or similar.
• Experience of HTML/CSS and using templates
• Strong creative, analytical and optimisation skills
