Carnival UK bring unforgettable happiness to our guests every day on our ships. Responsible for driving and maintaining the Carnival digital presence across the entire customer journey, the Technology Architecture & Engineering Team is preparing for our return to service in 2021. This role will place you at the heart of that capability. The scope of this role’s responsibilities includes website content management, optimisation and development.

About the role

The Technical Product Director will ensure delivery against the long term strategy for the e-Commerce platform, scoping and prioritising the agreed initiatives, supporting the activities of the Product Managers and ultimately supporting the product roadmap within the agreed budget for which they will be held accountable. This is a critical position that will enable us to achieve our ambitious growth plans on an international scale across key markets of the UK, North America, Australia and Germany.

You will lead the digital agile teams to succeed in this space, ensuring relevant subject matter experts are consulted at all stages to ensure a superb online offering for our guests, whilst balancing a substantial annual budget to make this happen.

About you

Able to balance short term decision making against long term strategy and goals, you will be a strong communicator, decision maker and subject matter expert. Leading with impact, your team will look to you for direction, guidance and ideas. Naturally, you’ll have previously brought stability to the teams and technology that you have managed.

Your knowledge of working with substantial, international websites means that you will be well placed. A strong understanding of industry best practice will also be well received.
