Carnival is looking for a Data Services Developer to join our growing Data Services team and support the successful delivery of modern, robust data solutions to create value, drive efficiency and increase performance for our business.

The Role
As a member of the Data Services team, you will be tasked with providing innovative and resilient solutions to the various challenges and opportunities that arise, working closely and collaboratively with data science, analytics and operational teams across CUK and other Carnival brands.
The role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery and support of new strategic data solutions as well as refactoring existing ones. This could include creating data pipelines, integrating new sources of data into our DataHub, developing data models, building custom apps, delivering automated process workflows, or building reports.
As a Data Service Developer, this role also provides ongoing expert support to the data landscape in production and performs adhoc analysis to interrogate and evaluate data issues and exploitation opportunities.
This role is a technical subject matter expert who is able to explain technical and business concepts across multiple audiences, understand business data needs and deliver on those needs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
You’ll have a good understanding of Agile development methodology, with an enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing knowledge.
Previous experience as a Data Engineer, Process Automation Engineer or Power Platform Developer working with complex data sets in a large diverse organisation is desirable.
You’ll have knowledge of SQL, database concepts, data modelling techniques and skills in some of the following technologies: Snowflake, DBT, Python, SSIS, UiPath, Power Apps, and other Power Platform tools.
Awareness of data governance, data security and PII data handling principles.
