Carnival UK is in search of a Destination Manager, a senior role critical to driving our commercial success through strategic leadership and a high-performing team.
The Shore Experience team are dedicated to innovation and excellence in delivering unforgettable experiences for our Guests onboard. We focus on tailoring our services to meet the unique needs of our guests, while also boosting our sales effectiveness to drive growth.
As a Destination Manager, you will be part of a dynamic Commercial team dedicated to planning and executing the Commercial strategy within Destinations across the globe. Leading a team of experienced Destination Executives, you will inspire a culture of high performance by building strong relationships with your team and setting clear and actionable goals.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leading as the primary source of destination insights for key regions, providing knowledge on market trends, competitor benchmarking, tour operator performance, and guest needs for both P&O Cruises and Cunard
- Define and drive the direction of product strategy, ensuring a diverse and appealing range of experiences to drive commercial performance
- Managing relationships with local suppliers and partners to ensure high-quality services
- Setting the product, pricing, and promotion strategy for key trades, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Working with Procurement to ensure optimal sourcing strategy
- Managing and mentoring a Planning and Inventory team, providing top-down strategic direction as well as day-to-day assistance.
Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK07, offered as a full-time position, on a permanent basis, we offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
Requirements: Your Expertise and Leadership
To thrive as a Destination Manager, we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a strategic planning role, preferably within the travel, hospitality, or cruise industry
- Proven skills in leadership, driving change and results as a positive and motivating role model
- Strong understanding of product development, pricing strategies, and promotional planning
- Proven experience working in a dynamic commercial environment
- B2B experience, managing supplier relationships, negotiation, and contracts
