Carnival UK are currently recruiting for a Data Risk Manager to join our Privacy, Data Protection & Risk team and take on responsibility for identifying, managing and reporting on data risk at Carnival UK.
This role is offered on a 14 month fixed term contract, and is offered on a full time basis.
The Role
The Data Risk Manager is an in-depth and interesting role that will work within the Privacy, Data Protection and Risk Management team to monitor the use and handling of data, and to investigate any issues that may arise.
You’ll also be the initial point of contact for data users across the business, and you’ll work with a network of data stewards and groups to develop solutions to known risks, all while implementing and monitoring data quality and retention processes.
You will:
- Undertake investigative activities and maintain detailed documentation relating to data-related issues.
- Maintain an up to date and accurate data risk register in conjunction with risk owners and subject matter experts.
- Produce regular reports on data risk and treatments to stakeholders.
For at least two days a week, you’ll be based out of our fantastic offices in the heart of Southampton, while working the remainder of the week from home.

To be considered as a Data Risk Manager you will also need:
- Experience of working within a large and complex organisation with a broad range of data processes, requirements and systems.
- Proficiency with Analytical and Excel skills, and be comfortable handling large irregular datasets
- Background in a relevant area such as data governance or information management.
