At Carnival Corporate Shipbuilding (CCS) we manage the new ship acquisition process for all eight brands within Carnival Corporation. This includes from early ship definition, shipyard selection and contract negotiation, through to construction, commissioning and warranty and everything in between. In addition to building new ships, CCS plays an active role in supporting the existing fleet in operation, as well as identifying new innovations and emerging technologies to support the corporation’s sustainability goals. 

Strategy & Business Services is made up of a team of individuals who share their expertise through strong partnerships to drive ways of working that directly contribute to the overall strategy and success of CCS. A key part of the team is our Program Management Office (PMO) who leverage insights to ensure our business processes, tools and ways of working are fit for purpose and build on best practice.

We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Change Management to join our PMO team. This role will be based in Carnival House in Southampton, on a six-month fixed term basis, with immediate start.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of assigned change programs within CCS.. This includes managing the day-to-day running of change project workstreams including planning, risk and issue management, project progress reporting, management of the project team and the project deliverables.

You will play an instrumental role in the development and delivery of existing and new business processes and projects, which drive greater service excellence, cost efficiencies for the corporation and development of CCS processes and standards.

In addition to the above, you will also be responsible for planning and supporting strategic change by supporting the matrix project teams in the integration of change activities into the project plans and will ensure business readiness for the change and that project objectives and business benefits are delivered. 

Key accountabilities include:

  • Project manage business critical and key projects to enable delivery against the transformation roadmap, using the approved CCS project delivery framework.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timescales and benefits that support the Corporate Strategy.
  • Manage the project from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery of scope and benefits.
  • Work with stakeholders to complete project documentation outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budgets, benefits and timing.
  • Identify tasks to be completed and plan their delivery accordingly.
  • Identify and estimate resource effort required for all tasks.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Professional project management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2.
  • Demonstrable project management experience
  • Experience of delivering within an agile environment
  • Experience of delivering successful high-profile projects in a large, dynamic and customer focussed organisation 
  • Experience in delivering business change projects
