In our continuous journey of growth and innovation within the Maritime and Sustainability Team here at Carnival UK, we are seeking a BI Analyst to bring fresh insights and expertise to our department. 

Role Overview

The BI Analyst will play an essential role within the Carnival UK Maritime department by driving forward analytics using Power Platform.  By analysing & trending our data using intelligence tools, you will identify opportunities to improve our business.   

Acting as a key point in Maritime for collating, creating and managing MI reporting, you will work closely with the business to understand reporting needs and bring them to a centralised point, ensuring there is “one version of the truth” for all CUK Maritime information.  Additionally maintaining a “continuous improvement” philosophy to identify opportunities to develop existing and future reporting platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to participate in future proofing our performance monitoring suite within the department, with flexibility to be creative in how you do this.  You will work with a variety of quantitative and qualitative data sets, including relating to incidents, audit and compliance, technical asset management systems and port operations.

This pivotal role will:

  • Develop and deliver on agreed KPIs in driving improvement in performance.
  • Manage the development and delivery of new business intelligence reports, leveraging Power Platform tools, and work with technical and operational SMEs to enable data driven decision making as required. 
  • Deliver insight to senior stakeholders at SLT and above as required in CUK and present findings as necessary in appropriate forums.
  • Work with Maritime Data & Information (MDI) manager, Data Services and key business partners to specify requirements for Maritime system developments to improve delivery of reports/statements when able through automation.  Ensuring data is always stored and transferred securely and effectively maintaining compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Build effective working relationships with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders across the group, clearly understanding the customer requirements and seeking to improve processes to exceed customer expectations.

This role is positioned at CUK 09 level within our organization and is available on a full-time permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

What You'll Bring:

Your unique background and skills are what will make you stand out. We're looking for:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, in particular Excel
  • Experience of Developing Management Information
  • Experience of producing Data Analytics and Insights Reports
  • Experience of working with and delivering key messages to senior stakeholders
  • Experience with Power BI.
