This Network & Communications Analyst (Engineer) role will join the Network and Communications team, within the Infrastructure and Operations team at Carnival UK. This role will ensure the operational integrity and ongoing improvement of the network and communication technologies and services supporting the Carnival UK Head Office in Southampton, remote sites, and our impressive fleet of P&O and Cunard ships.

We are looking for highly capable individual, who is great at engaging within fast-paced operations, has been exposed to a variety of technologies and is great at contributing to the team efforts ensuring we create unforgettable holiday happiness for our guests!

The Role

The Network & Communications Analyst (Engineer) role is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and professional individual to come aboard and join a team of supportive experts at a particularly exciting time, as we prepare to receive our biggest ship Iona and are planning for 2x more ship arrivals in the near future!

As a Network & Communications Analyst you will be focused on the proactive operation and maintenance of the wired, wireless, and satellite network services used to connect our ship and shore operations. With strong hands-on experience of configuring, maintaining, supporting, and finding ways to continuously improve network services, you will provide subject matter expertise for proactive operations and project delivery purposes.

Additionally, you will be familiar with telephony platforms, cloud infrastructure services, emerging security standards, monitoring and analysis platforms, and ITIL Service Management processes.

About You

We expect you to be an experienced Network & Communications Analyst (Engineer) with previous third-line experience in large scale corporate networks. You will be equally as comfortable troubleshooting incidents and problems, as you will delivering change through formal projects. You will be proactive, hands-on, a natural team player, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of how technology enables a business to operate and succeed.

You will have excellent planning and prioritising abilities, and a great eye for attention to detail. You will be able to work under minimal supervision and use your initiative to constantly deliver reliable results. You will be enthusiastic with can-do attitude and a guest centric service approach, and will naturally thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

About the Team

As part of our Shared Service function, our Technology teams enable us to take our guests all over the world on our ships as well as supporting our colleagues at Carnival House and other locations. This supports everything from guests booking their holidays through our websites and contact centre, to ensuring that on-board applications and the infrastructure provide support across the globe.
