We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Director, Operations Technology and Delivery to fill this role located in our Seattle office. You’ll be responsible for overseeing mid to large-scale, complex 3rd Party Operational Technologies and development initiatives aimed at enhancing Fleet and Business Operations to impact guest service, improve revenue and in some cases reduce cost. The role is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the strategy to deliver and implement complex, timely, and high-quality software solutions across Fleet Operations, Shared business applications and HAP Alaska Land Operations for Holland America Line and Seabourn and Princess Brands. This role oversees both the software engineering and software delivery functions, partnering with cross-functional business teams and senior leadership to ensure alignment of priorities, project requirements, and the implementation and execution of agile methodologies and modern application development practices.

Responsibilities
Innovation Leadership
• Leads high performing, globally diverse Product Management, and delivery teams to meet business needs and commitments within budget and provided timelines.
• Establishes expectations for and oversees execution of comprehensive roadmap and development plans based on high level business requirements.
• Utilizes product knowledge to ask questions to achieve a full understanding to ensure accurate proposals are provided, including all architectural, integration, and other technical dependencies within the proposals and plans so that the business can make an informed decision.
• Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, other IT technical teams, facilitating clear and timely communication on project status, risks, and resource needs.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership, aligning priorities and making data-driven recommendations on resource allocation.
• Modifies plans based on business priorities. Fluently restructures overall team structure as priorities change.
• Continually reviews technical and application footprint to reduce cost and or technical complexity and improve efficiency while maintaining or improving business capability
High-Performance Team Leadership
• Owns the development and prioritization of the team’s short & long-term strategic roadmap and budget planning/management responsibilities.
• Owns all applicable IT Vendor and contract management for HAL/SBN/HAP.
• Establishes short and long-term departmental goals and objectives for middle management to execute against while maintaining appropriate standards of performance for the team.
• Champion performance metrics, setting clear KPIs to measure team success and drive continuous improvement.
Process Improvement
• Continuously finds opportunities to decrease costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining a balanced number of resources to address changing business priorities.
• Continuously evaluates and improve delivery processes, applying automation, AI tools, and innovation to close operational gaps.
Budget Ownership
• P&L responsibilities of $8+ million annually.
Compliance/Security
• Contributes to complex technical and architectural decisions to ensure security, privacy, PCI, SOX and all other regulatory requirements are achieved and maintained.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 10+ Years working in the Cruise industry with a focus on technology and or Cruise Operations
• 15+ years’ experience with technology and software product delivery and or management
• 10+ years product and/or project management
• Dynamic leadership and agent of change capable of influencing the direction of the organization while maintaining a culture where associates are recognized as important assets to the company.
• Experience in evaluating, adopting & integrating new and evolving technologies where appropriate.
• Experience leading diverse and globally distributed teams effectively.
• Demonstrable ability to lead a team through software development from inception to completion.
• 10+ Years experience in Strategic Technology Product Vendor Management and Leadership
• Proven track record of on-time execution and delivery of projects.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, agile practices, and modern technologies used in SDLC.
• Ability to articulate complex technologies and concepts clearly and simply to business leaders.
• Experience in presenting and articulating concepts to Executive Leadership Teams.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.
• Experience with contracting and deployment with 3rd party Vendors
• Strong direct or indirect leadership experience
• 10+ years in a people-leadership role focused on technology and software product delivery
• 10+ years’ experience managing software development resources
• Experiencing in developing and hiring staff with the skills and talents required.
• Establish team mentorship and individual career development programs for team members by skill set.

Base SalaryRange: $ 176,000.00 to $237,700.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
