We’re looking for an amazing Manager, IT Shipboard Operations to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day IT management and oversight of shipboard technology onboard the Holland America and Seabourn Fleets affecting guest, crew and operations. This role ensures that shipboard IT System Administrators have the tools, knowledge and motivation to perform at their best by liaising with various other teams within the organization. The role will work to build a strong team that delivers IT services at high standards.

Responsibilities
- Policies, Procedures and Processes, and Knowledge
- Ensure accurate and adequate policies and procedures are in place and that they are current.
- Acts as the liaison with other departments to continually review existing processes and optimize them
- Ensure that all IT Operations activities comply with department and organizational policies
- Accountable for effective incident and request ticket management and escalation as needed
- Collaborate with IT and non-IT teams to create and maintain system documentation
- Ensure that all required documentation / guidelines / processes / instructions / references are accurate and available to a relevant IT and non-IT audience
- Compliance and Regulatory
- Develop ship audit framework and ensure Fleet Managers visit ships and report
- Ensures proper monitoring is in place to proactively identify issues and anomalies needing attention and executes the procedures needed to remediate them.
- Holds responsibility for remediation of compliance and vulnerability assessment findings, working with application and infrastructure architecture and engineering teams, and through IT teams as needed.
- Maintain a fleet standard configuration reference including naming conventions
- Ensure that assets in production as well as spares are correctly documented per ship
- Ensure that ships have critical spares at hand
- Ensure assets are replenished as needed
- Procurement, Budgeting, Repair & Maintenance
- Review and approve financial and operational items as assigned
- Coordinate vendor technical visits with applicable teams and vessels, and ensure that objective of visit and implementation standards are met
- Assist with development and cost estimates for budgeting purposes for both OPEX and CAPEX
- Manage ship’s Repair and Maintenance budgets
- Ensure all logistics and procurements processes and activities are working as they should. Engage with other teams to address any needed efficiencies and enhancements.
- Resource Planning and Manning
- Scheduling and resource assignment for, drydocks, new builds, and shipboard projects
- Salary and benefit negotiations
- Fleet IT Manager ship visit assignments
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years IT Management required (5 years preferred)
- 3+ years in a corporate setting required
- 3+ years Service Delivery or Help Desk Management preferred
- Strong understanding of cruise line industry and related productions, operations, structure and systems
- Proven ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
- Technical writing skills
- Data processing and analysis
- Ability to travel 25 – 50% of the time, with shipboard travel likely
This position follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week.

- Base Salary Range: $112,800 to $152,300. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
