We’re looking for an amazing Info Technology professional to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office and can be fully remote. As a hands-on front end technical leader, the manager will direct a multi-disciplinary development team for Holland America Group’s customer-facing technology platforms. This technical leader is accountable for collaborating with globally positioned Technical Teams, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and other cross-functional units to maintain the current platform and also to deliver new features and capabilities. The Manager will contribute to the development of modernization initiatives that will have significant impact on the future of Guest Technology across the fleet..

Responsibilities
Manages a team of software, front-end and full-stack developers, including hiring, performance management and career development.
Manages an Agile (Scrum) Development process in a continuous integration and deployment methodology.
Lead the review and analysis of business requirements to create technical designs
Direct technical activities to Estimate, Plan, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy solutions into production
Develop long and short range Application Development Plans and Resource Development Plans to achieve corporate systems development objectives in a timely and cost effective manner.
Maintain effective communications with other departments to assist, coordinate and collaborate in the attainment of corporate and HA Group objectives.
Assist management in budgeting process and contract negotiations.
Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
Requirements
Minimum: Four years Project Manager, application development/deployment, IT operations, consulting or related experience
Preferred: Six years Project Manager, application development/deployment, IT operations, consulting or related experience
Excellent knowledge & Hands-on experience with Front-end frameworks such as ReachJS, Angular, etc.
Excellent knowledge and experience designing and developing large scale, high traffic applications.
Excellent understanding of Agile Principles and experience managing development via multiple development teams in an Agile environment.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment.
Experience working with Cloud infrastructure preferably AWS.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with internal clients, vendors and technology partners.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent knowledge & Hands-on experience with Front-end frameworks such as ReachJS, Angular, etc.
