The Director of Ancillary Revenue for Holland America Line and Seabourn is responsible for driving incremental revenue and enhancing the guest experience through the strategic oversight of key ancillary products and services. This role is responsible for the P&L for our Guest Insurance products, Cancelation Protection Plan, Seabourn Shield, Guest Air (FlightEase), Pre/Post Hotels and Transfers across both brands, as well as gift cards and the co-branded credit card program for Holland America Line. The position blends commercial strategy with operational execution, managing some programs end-to-end while serving as a commercial steward and cross-functional partner for others. Through data-driven decision making and close collaboration with internal teams and external partners, this role ensures the profitability, scalability, and guest satisfaction of ancillary offerings.

Responsibilities
- Own and Optimize P&L Performance: Lead the financial performance of ancillary revenue streams including Guest Insurance, Guest Air, Pre/Post Hotels, Transfers, Gift Cards, and Co-branded Credit Cards, ensuring revenue targets and profitability goals are met or exceeded.
- Develop and Execute Commercial Strategy: Define and implement strategic plans for each ancillary product, including pricing, promotions, and product enhancements, aligned with brand positioning and guest expectations.
- Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Operations, Call Center, Guest Services, Legal, IT) and external vendors to ensure seamless execution, operational alignment, and guest satisfaction across all ancillary offerings.
- Manage Vendor and Partner Relationships: Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party providers, ensuring service quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with brand standards and guest experience goals.
- Manage Budgeting and Forecasting Processes: Lead the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes for all ancillary revenue streams, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals. Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to develop accurate revenue projections, monitor performance against targets, and proactively identify risks and opportunities to optimize financial outcomes.
- Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze performance metrics, guest behavior, and market trends to inform business decisions, identify growth opportunities, and optimize existing offerings.
- Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams: Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, MBA preferred
- 5+ years in a leadership or management role, preferably with direct P&L accountability.
- 3–5 years in the travel, hospitality or cruise industry is highly desirable.
- 3 years of experience working in matrix organizations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Significant worldwide destination and port knowledge required.
- Strong writing, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task, communicate, and problem solve in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to lead and influence across departments and functions, including Finance, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and IT.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office along with other industry standard applications.
- Preferred proficient in SQL / BI reporting and data querying.
- Preferred experience either shipboard or in close collaboration with shipboard teams.
- Strong understanding of customer experience principles and the ability to design and deliver offerings that enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Deep understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization strategies across multiple product lines.

- Base Salary Range: $132,300.00 to $178,600.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
