We’re looking for an experienced Casting Specialist to fill this hybrid role which is based out of our Seattle office. In this critical role you’ll be responsible for managing the full life-cycle recruitment process for Activity and Stage Entertainment Team Member roles across the global fleet. This role involves sourcing and outreach, screening and interviewing candidates, coordinating with internal stakeholders, issuing conditional offers, and maintaining accurate candidate dispositioning in the applicant tracking system. You’ll work closely with the Senior Manager, Talent Casting & Booking, as well as Crew Operations and Global Talent Partners, to ensure timely, inclusive, and efficient casting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, a proactive approach to talent sourcing, experience managing recruitment pipelines through an ATS, and a background in entertainment and/or the cruise industry.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full life-cycle recruitment process for Activity and Stage Entertainment Team Member roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination in alignment with departmental needs and casting strategy.
- Serve as the primary administrator of the applicant tracking system (Pinpoint), maintaining job postings, candidate records, stage tracking, and dispositioning to ensure an accurate and efficient pipeline.
- Conduct proactive outreach and sourcing to build and sustain a diverse talent pool for recurring and hard-to-fill roles, improving time-to-fill and readiness for upcoming assignments.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Talent Casting & Booking, Crew Planning and Crew Operations to ensure timely onboarding, eligibility confirmation, and accurate planning for assignments across the global fleet.
- Track sourcing metrics, candidate engagement, and market trends. Recommend process improvements and assist in building scalable recruitment tools and workflows to support long-term operational goals.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, performing arts, entertainment management, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate tracking.
- Experience supporting high-volume or deadline-driven staffing environments. Applied knowledge of recruitment systems and workflows, including maintaining applicant data, dispositioning candidates, and supporting compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, planning, or logistics teams to align hiring activity with changing business needs.
- Background in the cruise industry, ideally within entertainment, with a working knowledge of shipboard structure and the expectations for Activity and Stage team roles.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools.
- Prior use of Pinpoint or other casting-specific systems, preferred.
- Familiarity with Airtable or other collaborative planning tools, preferred.
- Understanding of shipboard operational models or rotational contracts, preferred.
- Training or coursework in recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition systems, preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
Please note that this is a hybrid position based in Seattle, WA. Candidates must be comfortable coming into the office 3 days/week (Tuesday-Thursday).

- Base Salary Range: $69,300.00-$93,600.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
