We’re looking for an amazing Associate Vice President, Global Charter, Incentive, and Series Partnerships to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for the overall direction of sales strategies, partnerships and initiatives for global full-ship charter sales and execution, incentive group sales and execution, and series group producers for Holland America Line and Seabourn. This executive drives the attainment of all assigned revenue goals in accordance with the annual sourcing plan, negotiates and finalizes all related charter party agreements and annual partner agreements, develops and executes all aspects of charter/incentive marketing and promotion, and ensures the successful delivery of customized programming for full-ship charters, incentive and series groups. They must build, nurture and maintain excellent relationships with a large portfolio of annual charterers and group partners while driving a continuous strategy to prospect and secure new and incremental business. The Associate Vice President, Global Charter, Incentive and Series Partnerships serves as the lead executive presence at all meeting and incentive industry conference building relationships with key partner executives. They will deliver mentoring and coaching to a diverse team of sales and charter event specialists and will drive cultural and organizational excellence.

Responsibilities
- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
- Serve as executive lead building strong and enduring relationships will all charter partners to secure consistent, annual
- Direct all negotiations with charterers collaborating closely with executive leads from multiple, internal stakeholders (Legal, Revenue Management, Itinerary Planning, Finance, Guest Experience, Fleet) to successfully close full-ship charters while optimizing the company’s best interest in all agreed concessions.
- Review and approve all charter party agreements, incentive group contracts and series partner contracts assuring both accuracy and alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Formulate and drive all aspects of marketing and prospecting activities related to full-ship charters and incentive groups including collateral creation and distribution, website development and content accuracy, e-commerce initiatives and social media presence.
- EXECUTION EXCELLENCE:
- Direct and coach a team of charter delivery managers to capture, assess and implement every aspect of charterer’s desired customization.
- Lead internal discussions with executive stake-holders to negotiate complex and “outside the box” requests and solutions from charterers seeking to customize the onboard experience.
- Retain accountability for the agreement to implement all customized charter and group customizations assuring that all solutions optimize the company’s best interest in terms of risk, delivery success and onboard revenue streams.
- FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILTY:
- Source, close, execute and retain significant net ticket revenue from non-retail channels for Holland America Line and Seabourn.
- Strategically manage cooperative funding and promotional budget to deliver, retain and grow the company’s large portfolio of full-ship charters, incentive groups
- Use financial metrics to assess the impact of changes on revenue and costs.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and standard operating procedures as they pertain to the SOX Audit process and Ethics and Compliance.
- TEAM:
- Motivate, mentor and coach team members and encourage creativity and autonomy.
- Partner with onboard teams for charter execution.
- Create an inspiring, collaborative team environment with an open communication/feedback culture.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Maintain effective internal communications and relationships with colleagues and internal departments including GEPD, revenue management, legal, itinerary planning, port operations and shore operations as needed.
- Direct the successful resolution of client conflicts/opportunities with the goal of crafting win/win solutions.
Requirements
- 15+ years of cruise sales experience with a minimum of five (5) direct and recent leadership within the C&I arena
- BS/BA in Sales & Marketing, Business and/or related experience
- Cultivator of strong and enduring partnerships
- Confident decision maker with ability to quickly identify risks and benefits
- Demonstrated ability to act independently and provide decisive direction
- Exceptional negotiator capable of finding mutually beneficial opportunities and solutions
- Analytical acumen to assess and negotiate maximum yield
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation
- Acknowledged leader with ability to provide strategic vision and tactical direction to a multi-member team
- Ability to travel 25-50% with shipboard travel likely

- Base Salary Range: $135,500 to $182,900. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
