The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) will act as a trusted strategic advisor to business leaders, offering expert guidance on HR-related matters to align with organizational objectives. This pivotal role will drive talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development efforts across all brands and regions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive HR expertise, a passion for cultivating a high-performance culture, and strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of HR professionals.  

Job Functions:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's objectives and drive business success.
  • Talent Management: Supports leadership in workforce management through forecasting and planning talent pipelines, developing talent development programs, and facilitating succession planning. Lead organizational development efforts, including change management, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Employee Relations: Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting effective investigations and providing guidance to employees and management.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance management, talent reviews & calibration process with client groups to ensure alignment with organizational goals and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the business, its challenges, and opportunities, using this knowledge to inform HR practices
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with global labor laws and regulations, and manage risk related to HR practices.
  • Supports organizational change initiatives, ensuring they are managed effectively and in a legally defensible manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic HRBP role.
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint. Experience in Oracle, or similar software preferred.

  • A broad range of activities focused on aligning HR practices with business objectives, providing strategic guidance, and supporting the organization's people-related needs. They work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and drive business results.
  • Collaborate with Senior business leaders to develop strategies that drive productivity and growth, ensuring HR initiatives align with overall business objectives 
  • Research and implement HR policies that support employee initiatives and organizational goals 
  • Identify talent needs for different business units and create strategies to meet these requirements 
  • Focus on HR performance management processes to enhance an employees performance 
  • Provide consulting and coaching to departmental leaders to support the business's vision, mission, and objectives 
  • Design strategies to create a work environment where employees can thrive and pursue growth opportunities 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve HR processes.
  • Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and perspectives.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.          

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel:  Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.


This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. 

Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
