Job Description:

We are seeking a Shipboard Financial Analyst.

In this role the individual will support the Shipboard Financial Analytics group, you will be a key contributor to the success of Carnival Cruise Lines by providing technical expertise and analytical support to the organization’s shipboard financial and operational teams.  You will work with management to develop, track, and analyze recommendations for important strategic initiatives.  Furthermore, you will support the Financial Planning & Analysis team in building the annual budget and monthly forecast.

Essential Functions:

  • Examine large amounts of data and transform them into informative qualitative and quantitative financial analyses
  • Develop analytical tools, independently and collaboratively, to offer insights into business trends and identify opportunities
  • Provide financial support to Shipboard Operations in the planning, forecasting, and variance explanation of key facets of the business
  • Create and effectively deliver informative, well-organized executive-level PowerPoint presentations
  • Communicate complex analysis to all levels of management in a simple and understandable approach

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field
  • 3.2 GPA or greater highly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced proficiency in Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, and Oracle Financials or similar database systems
  • Proficiency with financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures, profitability and return on investment modeling
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion, coordinate action plans, and implement actionable strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt easily to change in dynamic environment
