We are looking for an amazing Senior Analyst, Strategic Pricing to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office.
Here is a summary of what Princess is looking for in its Senior Analyst, Strategic Pricing Is this you? This incumbent will be responsible for program launch pricing which is a SOX related activity. Comprehensively understand how the development of future launch pricing fits within the context of competitive brands and their prices, current market trends, and our programs that are currently for sale. Day to day decision making requires a level of essential critical thinking and intellectual curiosity that will enable appropriate judgement when conducting independent approvals on other items that make up the price such as TFPE (Taxes Fees Port Expenses), NCF (non-commissionable fare), Promos, FX rates, etc. The ability to understand the big picture while critically paying attention to detail is a must. Challenges when pricing and implementation are not done correctly are delayed program launches or mis-priced voyages which may lead to revenue loss and inefficiency/redundancy in work across multiple teams to correct the mistake(s).
Responsibilities
- Pricing Strategy Development & Recommendation: Develop program launch pricing for Sr Management review, implement strategic pricing models for various cruise voyage programs, considering market demand, competitive landscape, and revenue optimization objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive ROI market analysis to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive positioning to inform pricing strategies and program launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, and finance to plan and execute the successful launch of cruise voyage programs. Responsible for providing pricing, deployment, or redeployment information to facilitate loading into the reservation system
- Monitor and track the performance of cruise voyage programs post-launch, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement, opportunities for revenue growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor pricing strategies, and emerging market dynamics to ensure Princess Cruises maintains a competitive edge in the marketplace.
- Addressing complex pricing challenges by analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive pricing strategies.
- This role involves developing innovative solutions to optimize pricing models and ensure profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. The analyst must navigate fluctuating demand and economic conditions to implement effective pricing strategies that align with the company's goals and enhance its competitive edge.
- This role plays a crucial role in shaping the company's pricing strategy, directly influencing revenue and profitability. By analyzing market trends and consumer behavior, the Senior Analyst ensures that pricing models are competitive and aligned with business objectives.
- This role significantly impacts the company's ability to attract early bookers and maintain a strong market position, as evidenced by the recent shift to a pricing strategy that rewards early bookings.
- Demonstrate leadership by driving pricing strategies that maximize revenue and market share. This role requires the ability to lead cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and finance, to develop and implement effective pricing models.
- The Senior Analyst will also mentor junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Additionally, they will manage resources and budgets to ensure the successful execution of pricing initiatives, contributing to the overall strategic goals of Princess Cruises.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years’ experience or related experience in analysis, financial or revenue management, strategic planning, pricing, program analysis, or related fields within the travel, hospitality, or cruise industry.
- Completion of bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Microsoft Excel advanced experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with database applications (Power BI, Tableau)
- Basic SQL preferred
- Strong analytical skills with financial modeling, data analysis, and market research techniques.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Experience working independently and in a team environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, work across multiple teams, and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and carry a task forward from beginning to end with minimal assistance.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday). However, beginning in 2027, employees in this position will be required to work on-site at our new headquarters in Miami, FL.
