Strategic Technical Oversight
The Senior Electrical Superintendent leads technical performance and operational readiness across the PCL Fleet, aligning maintenance and repair strategies with long-term goals and regulatory standards. They ensure operations meet safety, environmental, and performance requirements, direct dry-dock and wet-dock projects within budget and timelines, and develop vessel-specific strategies integrated with fleet initiatives. They coordinate initiatives including upgrades, vendor evaluations, and compliance projects, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables. This collaboration integrates technical operations seamlessly with broader business objectives.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
The Superintendent ensures vessels meet or exceed regulatory and classification society requirements by overseeing certifications, audits, and corrective actions. They schedule and execute ship visits, surveys, and inspections to assess compliance and technical condition, while delegating documentation monitoring and system updates. They also lead implementation of Global HESS and SMS protocols, safeguarding operational continuity and brand reputation.
Continuous Improvement and Technical Innovation
The Superintendent drives improvement by analyzing performance data, addressing maintenance trends, and reducing recurring issues. They lead initiatives to enhance planned maintenance, adopt innovative solutions, and evaluate new technologies and vendors for lifecycle optimization.
