We are looking for an amazing Senior Director, Strategy & Business Operations to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office. The Senior Director, Strategy & Business Operations at Princess Cruises is responsible for driving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, shaping long-term brand strategy, and orchestrating the operational rhythm of the business. This role involves leading cross-functional programs, managing strategic planning cycles, and delivering executive-level insights that connect high-level vision to day-to-day execution. The Senior Director will work closely with Commercial, Finance, and cross-functional leadership teams to align strategic priorities with guest experience, market dynamics, and operational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking, executive communication skills, program leadership experience, and a deep understanding of market trends and business analytics—particularly within the travel or hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Strategy development 

  • Support the development and evolution of long-term brand strategy, aligning business priorities with guest experience, market trends, and operational goals.

    • Identify and structure complex, ambiguous strategic initiatives that unlock revenue growth, cost savings, or competitive advantage.

    • Translate strategic concepts into clear, actionable plans and partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize outcomes across the business.

    • Drive strategic clarity and alignment by connecting high-level vision to day-to-day execution, ensuring initiatives are measurable, impactful, and sustainable.

Market & competitive intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, guest preferences, and competitor offerings to inform strategic decision-making.

    • Develop market insights and business cases that support investment decisions and long-term planning.

    • Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to evaluate pricing strategies, product positioning, and regional performance.

    • Provide leadership with timely, data-driven recommendations that strengthen the brand’s competitive position.

Business operations

  • Lead the operational rhythm of the organization, owning and evolving the cadence for monthly and quarterly business reviews, annual planning cycles, and strategic check-ins.

    • Programs manage a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder alignment, and measurable impact.

    • Champion the execution of strategic priorities by tracking progress, identifying risks, and removing roadblocks.

    • Develop and support executive-level communications and presentations for senior leadership and board audiences, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment.

High Performance Team Leadership

  • Inspire and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

    • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to direct reports and emerging leaders.

    • Manage a team of at least three direct reports, with full responsibility for hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.

Budget Ownership

  • Identify and delivery $100M+ in revenue acceleration opportunities and / or cost savings

    • G&A budget responsibilities for direct team

    • $3-5M G&A budget responsibilities external research              

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic project leadership, preferably in hospitality, cruise, or travel industries.

  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with significant financial impact.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that span commercial, operational, and guest experience domains, with A demonstrated ability to translate high-Level vision into actionable plans.

  • Deep expertise in strategic planning, business case development, and market analysis—particularly within the travel, hospitality, or consumer experience industries.

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and programs, driving alignment across diverse stakeholders, and delivering measurable business impact.

  • Advanced analytical and executive communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex Data into clear, compelling insights for senior leadership and board-Level audiences.

  • This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday)
