This individual plays a key role in our efforts to provide decision support in selecting, optimizing, prioritizing and executing projects, managing the deployment of systems and services, developing tools, as well as evaluating/monitoring operational and financial benefits within the CCL Finance organization. This manager role oversees resources leading and/or supporting projects (system maintenance and enhancements) related to Revenue Accounting functions, supporting both strategic and tactical initiatives and working alongside the Financial Technology team to develop key strategic initiatives based on interpretation of analyses and detailed review of current processes. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring the success of project delivery in terms of functionality and quality. This individual proactively seeks opportunities to partner with business units on important strategic initiatives and works with IT, Decision Support, business users and any other departments as needed to support the development and implementation of new business practices.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee all revenue accounting systems projects for Finance, shipboard and shore-side, and other teams as directed by CCL Finance. Review, monitor, facilitate and organize releases impacting applications supporting revenue accounting systems activity through the implementation of projects. Maintain relationships with Vendors, Carnival Corporate, and associated senior management. Work directly with management in the design and future growth plan supporting all revenue and payment/credit card functions.
- Oversee resources and budgets to align capital and non-capital expenditures in line with budgets. proactively seeks opportunities to partner with business units on important strategic initiatives and works with IT, Decision Support, business users and any other departments as needed to support the development and implementation of new business practices.
- Plans, allocates and manages staff resources that outline and support department procedures and set standards. Oversees the training and development of direct reports and provides feedback during probation period by submitting required department evaluation form. (c) Consistently develops staff by preparing employees’ performance evaluations for direct reports and reviewing all employees’ performance evaluations. Planning, organizing, leading and monitoring team members through multiple projects.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for reservation systems and revenue accounting functions, payment processes, project business requirements; develop and present business cases for potential projects. Proactively understands and manages risks by developing, testing, and/or implementing controls that are in support of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations.
- Identify best, efficient, and cost beneficial solutions when business processes are being implemented and require input or output from critical systems supporting revenue accounting operations. Work closely with the Finance, revenue accounting management team for departmental improvements and efficiency to formulate executive level analyses, reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Finance degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of financial data analysis tools and systems such as Oracle Financials.
- Must have strong command of Microsoft Office programs, advance level of Excel and interactive reporting tools.
- CCL Revenue Systems experience is required.
- General knowledge of infrastructure requirements and components, intranets, and networks.
- Revenue and CCL revenue related systems are required. Finance degree or equivalent experience. Staff Management.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel: No or very little travel likely
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
