We are looking for an amazing Production Artist II to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office. Supporting the Marketing, Sales, Onboard Revenue and/or People and Internal Communications teams in creating and delivering creative marketing material. Uses strong typographic and layout skills, strict attention to detail and outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization and archiving skills to update work through several rounds of revision and through file release. Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to drive consumer engagement through design.
Executes designs for standard marketing materials, encompassing both digital and printed formats, based on current Princess brand guidelines and templates. This position has creative authority but must consult with the supervisor/manager on strategic design decisions. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders as well as those within Princess North America. The role requires a high level of communication and adherence to workflow schedules.

Responsibilities
- Design execution: Take design concepts from the creative team and convert them into production-ready artwork.
- Prepare and format design files for print or publication, including image retouching, color correction, and layout adjustments.
- Develop new/custom designs in a variety of mediums for non-standard communications projects, consistent with Princess brand guidelines, including program logos and signage.
- Assesses and performs revisions and corrections throughout the production process, requesting clarification as needed
- Adheres to brand positioning, messaging strategies, spec sheets, and graphic standards guidelines on all projects, including strategic image selection that aligns with the promoted product and audience with a high level of attention to detail.
- Maintain efficient and organized workflow: adhere to project schedules, review and resolve routing comments, suggest time-saving methods and procedures to simplify workflow processes
- Liaise effectively with the project lead and/or supervisor impacting the projects
- Delivers consistently on commitments to external and internal customers by meeting specified assignment deadlines and following directions.
- Prepares final files for release and transfer to pre-press and print vendors
- Directs outside vendors involved in the production process providing production notes outlining specifics on special handling or use of applications to design studios, pre-press houses and printers.
- Occasional review of pre-press materials, including final electronic files, patch-color, composed color and blue-line drawings.
- Converts paginations into electronic templates and style sheets.
- Archives final mechanicals and forwards any newly developed design elements to designated team member for incorporation into asset management systems.
- Identify industry trends through the promotional efforts of competing cruise lines and other members of the travel industry and share findings with the team
- Participates in weekly meetings with Marketing Team, to assess status of existing in-house projects and review parameters of new projects.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of professional experience in a production artist or graphic design role is preferred. Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of production work and design projects.
- Knowledge of design principles, typography, and layout
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely with a team
- Knowledge of design principles, typography, and layout
- Strong technical skills in design software, with the ability to execute complex design tasks accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Animate, Dreamweaver)
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality design standards
- Solid understanding of file formats, color modes, and resolution for both print and digital media
- Proficiency in image retouching, color correction, and other post-production tasks
- Familiarity with pre-press and print production processes, including color management and file preparation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently or remotely with a team
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday). However, beginning in 2027, employees in this position will be required to work on-site at our new headquarters in Miami, FL.
