We are looking for an amazing Manager, Marine Operations to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office. The Manager Marine Operations serves as a key liaison between shipboard and shoreside Marine Operations, reporting to the Director of Marine Operations. This role ensures the smooth and efficient execution of marine operations across the fleet by providing strategic guidance, operational support, and compliance oversight. It involves proactive planning, emergency response, and coordination with multiple departments to uphold safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards. The position also manages Nautical Operations Officers and supports strategic initiatives such as voyage optimization and decarbonization.

Responsibilities
- Act as a primary contact for marine operations between ships and shoreside.
- Provide operational support related to safety, navigation, itineraries, and compliance.
- Liaise with shoreside departments and ship senior leaders.
- Coordinate day-to-day marine operations including bridge equipment, charts, BRM, weather, and polar preparation.
- Review voyage efficiency and support route optimization and decarbonization efforts.
- Plan ship operations in collaboration with all relevant departments.
- Support vessels during emergencies and participate in the shore emergency response team.
- Share Marine Duty Phone responsibilities with the FOC Miami.
- Manage Nautical Operations Officers and implement best navigational practices fleet-wide.
- Approve itineraries and maintenance plans to ensure voyage safety.
- Monitor weather and proactively address itinerary impacts.
- Oversee nautical charts, folios, and related budgets and invoices.
- Conduct shipboard visits for operational reviews and officer support.
- Lead and support departmental and cross-functional projects.
- Assist in polar and region-specific maritime compliance.
- Monitor maritime regulations and develop compliance plans.
- Support marine investigations, risk assessments, and safety reporting.
- Represent the Director of Marine Operations when required.
- Promote and uphold HESS (Health, Environment, Safety, and Security) standards and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Master Mariner’s License (Unlimited).
- Relevant passenger ship qualifications and certifications.
- Minimum 5 years of seagoing experience as a Deck Officer (First Officer Bridge Manager or higher).
- Strong knowledge of passenger shipping operations and global itineraries.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
- This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday)
