We are looking for an amazing Manager, Inventory Accounting to fill this role, which is based in our Miami office. This position is responsible for leading our Inventory team and partnering with key business operators to ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, reporting and monthly close responsibilities. Key functions include final-level review of monthly reporting responsibilities including detailed variance analysis, review of key/material journal entries, leading our inventory reserve accounting, suggesting and leading process improvements, reviewing of monthly account reconciliations, assisting with reporting and presenting to upper management. This position should drive improvement initiatives to develop streamlined processes to maximize efficiencies of the teams. Critical to succeed in this position is the ability to display a high level of problem solving, prioritization, sense of urgency, quick turnaround, adaptability, and the ability to support diverse projects/problems. This position will need to need to work with Supply Chain and Operations to research and resolve inventory reconciling items and assessing required inventory reserves. This position will also need to manage staff and their day-to-day activities as it relates to booking inventory and consumption related entries, monitoring all required adjusting entries and ensuring the monthly reconciliations are accurately and timely prepared. This role should be able to provide guidance and collaboration to own teams as well as other teams accounting issues that may arise.

Responsibilities
Lead a team of 3 inventory accountants (1 Supervisor, 2 Sr Staff Accountants, all located in Manila) in managing $100m inventory spread out amount warehouses and 17 ships.
This includes monitoring inventory movements, analyzing unusual inventory activity and variances and executing strategic inventory initiatives.
This will involve leading cross functional teams (to include Supply Chain and Operations) in identifying root causes of inventory issues.
Leading Inventory team in month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance explanations.
Drive process improvements and lead implementation efforts on all processes and systems that impact inventory management.
This includes training and education of own team and other stakeholders on inventory best practices and innovations.
Ensure strict adherence to GAAP on all inventory accounting processes for both PCL inventory and Ocean Medallion (OMF) inventory.
Manage and continue to improve relationships between PCL Accounting and offshore 3rd party manufacturer of OMF inventory, to ensure clear and transparent flow of information.
Lead quarterly inventory reserve review and in-depth analysis.
This includes liaising with Supply Chain and Operations, and reporting results to Executive Management.
Partner with RAAS (Internal Audit) to address compliance risk and opportunities including the completeness, accuracy and valuation of shipboard and shoreside inventory.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
CPA Preferred.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of GAAP, ERP systems (Oracle, Crunchtime), and high-volume inventory issues.
Strong Excel skills.
Minimum 7 years of experience in private/public accounting (preferably with a Big 4 firm), companies where Inventory Management is a priority (manufacturing, retail, others)
This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday)
