Group and Inside Sales Coordinator

The Group and Inside Sales coordinator provides comprehensive support to Costa Cruise Lines North America sales department. The Group and inside sales coordinator will service travel agents in matters of group quotations and pre-cruise coordination as well as serve as a liaison between travel agents and Business Development Managers and back of house groups and reservation team.
Essential Functions:
- GROUP SALES SUPPORT: process and analyze incoming group sales requests from direct customers and travel advisors. Collaborate with Revenue Management for group pricing and approval processes. Support group contract execution and reservation management. Coordinate with Special service department to liaise with shipboard teams for venue space allocation. Train travel advisors on Costa Extra platform for group bookings. Monitor group booking progress and payment schedules.
- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT: support Business Development Managers with operational tasks and trouble shooting. Furthermore, help with the coordination on the ground of trade events and training sessions. Contact travel partners proactively for product updates and support and manage all small accounts activation and sales process.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Business, Analytics, or related field.
- 2-4 years' experience in cruise or hospitality sales supports.
- Applicant Tracking Systems (Oracle, a plus), digital interviewing platforms, and other recruitment technologies. Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools. Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities. Excellent communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, modeling and dashboard creation. Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools. Power BI report development Data visualization expertise. SQL knowledge preferred. Proficiency in CRM systems
- Experience with Costa Extra or other travel booking platforms preferred
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel: No or very little travel
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
