Dynamic Exposure: Immerse yourself in our business units, including Human Resources, Revenue Management, Communications, Finance and Accounting, IT, and Marine Operations. 

Hands-On Experience: Over 10 weeks, you'll actively contribute to impactful projects, challenge and enhance processes, and gain firsthand insights into our daily operations. 

Mentorship: Receive mentorship and guidance from Carnival's seasoned professionals, paving the way for your professional growth.

Key Details:

Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. 

Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer. 

Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program. 

Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Department Summary:

Global Gaming is a corporate entity of Carnival Corporation & plc. We manage operations, staffing, marketing, and guest experience in the casinos across all nine brands.  The primary function of GG is to operate the casinos across all our brands, which results in one of the greatest drivers of on-board revenue within Carnival Corp & plc. We are the largest gaming organization in the world focused exclusively on the cruise market, and our mission is to provide the best gaming entertainment experience possible to our guests.

To design and execute innovative marketing experiences that elevate guest satisfaction, drive onboard revenue, and reinforce the brand identity, through casino-driven entertainment and branded experiences. 

Role Within the Organization:

We operate at the intersection of marketing, hospitality, and entertainment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver branded casino tournaments, land-based events, and casino group campaigns. Our work spans across Carnival Corporation’s fleet, including Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, and Holland America Line, ensuring consistency and excellence in guest experience and casino environments across brands.

Internship Project Summary

The intern will support the planning and execution of branded casino events (shipboard and land-based), guest engagement strategies, and merchandising initiatives across Carnival Corporation’s fleet, including Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, and Holland America Line. Their work will span logistics coordination, merchandise planning, and storytelling content development to showcase the impact of our events. 

Main Objectives:

Assist in executing high-impact casino events. 

Support branded merchandise design and planning. 

Contribute to guest experience enhancements and onboard engagement strategies. 

Prepare recap reports and storytelling content for leadership and internal showcases.

The intern will play a key role in enhancing the quality and consistency of our casino activations. Their support will directly influence guest satisfaction, onboard revenue, and the success of our marketing campaigns. By contributing fresh ideas and operational support, they’ll help elevate the experience across multiple brands and touchpoints. 

Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)

Supporting the execution of branded casino events, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site activation planning. 

Assisting with the design and distribution of promotional materials and branded merchandise. 

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance guest experience touchpoints. 

Contributing to the development of evaluation tools and feedback surveys for shipboard casino team. 

Preparing recap reports and storytelling content for internal showcases and leadership updates. 

Learning Outcomes

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of global gaming marketing and guest experience.  

The intern will: 

Gain hands-on experience in event planning and execution, including branded casino tournaments and VIP events. 

Develop project management and communication skills by collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinating logistics across multiple cruise brands. 

Learn how a global hospitality brand engages with key partners and guests through immersive marketing campaigns and merchandise strategies. 

Build creative and analytical skills by contributing to recap ideation, competitive audits, and storytelling content for leadership. 

Understand the role of casino marketing within the cruise industry, and how it drives guest satisfaction and onboard revenue. 

Specific Qualifications

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and enthusiastic intern who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Event Management, or related field. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Attention to detail. 

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite). 

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

Passion for guest experience, branding, and event execution.
