As the Manager-Global Air Sourcing, you’ll play a pivotal role withing the Global Air Sourcing group. You will lead contract negotiations with airlines and GDS providers across the globe, utilizing key insights derived from data and analytics.  You will work closely with the brands worldwide to determine our strategy in the guest, crew, and corporate travel space and implement recommendations to maximize cost savings and efficiencies for the brands

Essential Functions:

  • Negotiates contracts with airlines around the globe as well as with GDS partners on behalf of the global corporation by utilizing data, airline industry knowledge, sourcing expertise and soft skills to achieve the most desirable fares and terms to allow for the lowest and most flexible air program for our guests, crew and corporate travelers. 
  • Dives into dashboards, reports, data, and trends to uncover opportunities and identifies trends, develops actionable recommendations, and negotiates to implement those recommendations
  • Proactively identify opportunities to further improve air product offerings including, but not limited to, researching, and developing new airline relationships
  • Develop and maintain relationships with airlines, GDS partners and internal stakeholders by meeting with them regularly to stay abreast of current trends, requirements, changes, etc.
  • Utilize data to analyze results, quantify savings and report to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree preferred, with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Hospitality, or related
  • 5-8 years of experience working in the aviation industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and strong commercial acumen required. Must possess excellent problem-solving skills. Highly driven and self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit. Air industry experience is required, strategic sourcing and cruise line experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with strong expertise in Excel and Power BI, is required
  • Expertise in Oracle SQL and Oracle SQL Developer 
  • Expertise in ETL Tools, Power Query, MDX, and DAX 
  • GDS (Sabre / Amadeus) knowledge and experience

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended period of time.

Travel:   Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. 

Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
