The E-Commerce Email Manager develops and executes a content strategy to enhance the online shopping experience, drive engagement, and support business goals. This role aligns strategy and prioritization with key stakeholders across Shore Excursions, Bar, Spa Treatments, Dining, and Retail teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders from revenue and operations departments and the booked guest merchandising team to strategize, prioritize, and implement the booked guest email and notification program. Engages with stakeholders across business units to plan and prioritize marketing and merchandising activities.
  • Oversees the implementation of outbound email and app notifications, utilizing in-house creative, development, and operations teams. Analyzes and reports on key communication KPIs, including email metrics, traffic, revenue, and operational metrics.
  • Supports the Booked Guest Merchandising/Personalization team with marketing initiatives. Analyzes Booked Guest email insights to enhance segmentation, improve performance, and boost revenue.
  • Manages data extensions, targeting, and personalization for the email program, ensuring creative/content accuracy through proofing and testing to meet and exceed email standards.
  • Collaborates with the merchandising, guest services, analytics, and personalization teams to plan and execute email testing strategies, including creative setup, data mapping, and campaign coding. Emphasizes data-driven decisions to optimize performance and achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of increasing responsible experience in e-commerce or relevant marketing positions
  • Experience with E-commerce CMS systems (Hybris a plus), web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), Salesforce, A/B Testing platforms (Optimizely)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams); and other relevant software, technologies and applications (SQL, JSON/Guide templated language, HTML, AMPscript) essential for successfully performance in this role
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline a plus

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple, large-scale, complex projects from ideation through deployment and keeping them on-track in a still-developing environment.
  • Compliance and Legal: Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Motivation: Inner drive to achieve goals, maintain a positive attitude, and inspire others.
  • Social Skills: Proficiency in managing relationships, building networks, and navigating social complexities in the workplace.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: 0-25% ship and shore-based travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
