We are looking for an amazing Director Performance Analytics to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office. The Director, Performance Analytics is responsible for leading a comprehensive analytics team across all Onboard Revenue (OBR) categories to build actionable insights, enhance visibility, and drive data-driven decision making. This role involves developing and executing analytical strategies that support revenue optimization, operational efficiency, and strategic planning across the cruise portfolio. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams including revenue management, operations, and executive leadership to deliver analytical projects that drive business performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analytics, database management, and team leadership with a strong background in the cruise, hospitality, or travel industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive analytics strategies across all OBR categories (F&B, Shore Excursions, Photo, Retail, Spa, Art, Weddings, Connectivity). 
  • Establish performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to measure success and identify optimization opportunities. 
  • Drive data-driven insights that inform pricing, product innovation, and promotional strategies                                        
  • Manage and develop a high-performing analytics team, providing coaching, mentoring, and strategic direction. 
  • Establish team goals, performance standards, and professional development plans. Foster a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with HR on talent acquisition and retention strategies. 
  • Execute complex analytical projects using SQL, database management, and advanced analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel). 
  • Develop predictive models, trend analysis, and performance dashboards. 
  • Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations for executive leadership and operational teams.
  •  Partner with AVP Onboard Revenue Analytics and Connectivity, operations, marketing, among others to align analytical initiatives with business objectives. 
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity and system optimization. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • This role demands exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities to navigate complex data challenges and provide innovative solutions to business problems.
  • The Director will be responsible for identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities within large datasets, developing predictive models, and creating analytical frameworks that support strategic decision-making. 
  • The individual must be able to prioritize competing analytical requests, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and provide data-driven recommendations that address both tactical and strategic business needs across diverse OBR categories.                                 
  • This role has significant impact on the company's financial performance through data-driven insights that inform pricing strategies, product development, and operational improvements across the entire onboard revenue portfolio. 
  • The Director's analytical work will directly influence revenue optimization decisions, guest satisfaction initiatives, and cost management strategies. 
  • The position plays a crucial role in supporting the company's growth objectives through enhanced visibility into performance metrics and identification of new revenue opportunities across all cruise operations. 
  • Manage a budget of $65 million with financial input and oversight of the $1 Billion portfolio plus impact on ticket with bundles-based demand generation.
  •  This role requires strong leadership capabilities, including managing direct reports and resources for a team.
  • The Director will lead a team of 5 direct reports, including 1 Senior Manager, setting ambitious short and long-term goals and objectives. 
  • They will drive performance metrics, foster continuous improvement, and create a collaborative and innovative work environment. 
  • The role involves recruiting, training, and mentoring, providing ongoing support for professional growth and development. 
  • The individual will collaborate and work closely with VP, OBR, and AVP, OBR Analytics to align on strategic goals and initiatives vital for the company's long-term success.                                                    

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or Hospitality Management)
  • Strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships, collaborations and interactions with senior executives, peers and teams across multiple functions/departments.
  • Excellent leadership skills and credibility, with a strong track record of building, retaining and developing high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, financial statement analysis, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures.
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in data-driven decision-making and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical fields within the cruise, hospitality, travel, or retail industry
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience managing and leading analytical teams directly
  • Proven experience with database management, data warehousing, and SQL development
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools including PowerBI, Tableau, and statistical software
  • Background in revenue management, performance analytics, or related commercial functions
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex analytical projects
  • Track record of translating analytical insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Experience presenting analytical findings to senior leadership and executive teams
  • Preferred: Experience in cruise industry onboard revenue categories (Shore Excursions, Photo, Retail, Spa, Art, Weddings) or similar hospitality/travel revenue streams
  • This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday)
