The Manager of Destinations Talent Acquisition will lead recruitment efforts for Carnival's growing portfolio of private destinations. This is a high-impact role focused on building scalable, culturally aligned hiring strategies across multiple international locations.  (Initial focus will be on The Bahamas, but other areas of responsibility will eventually also include Mexico, Honduras, Dominican Republic, and Turks & Caicos Islands.) This position requires a proactive leader with global talent acquisition experience, a passion for creating strong community partnerships, and a keen eye for building inclusive, guest-centric teams. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English and Spanish) and brings experience from high-volume, customer-facing industries such as hospitality, travel, or theme parks — and thrives in fast-paced, multicultural environments.

Job Functions:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for all private destination roles, ensuring best-in-class sourcing, selection, and hiring strategies. Conduct competitive talent landscape assessments for each destination market. Build long-term workforce plans aligned to growth projections and seasonal business needs. 
  • Design and manage large-scale hiring events and job fairs in partnership with local communities, schools, and government agencies. Develop targeted outreach strategies to ensure participation from local talent pools.
  • Partner closely with Destination General Managers, HR leads, and operational leaders to anticipate hiring needs, align on workforce plans, and drive proactive talent pipelines. Collaborate with Global HR, Legal, Compliance, and other corporate teams to ensure alignment on labor practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the HRIS team to support implementation and adoption of Oracle Recruiting and other digital hiring tools. Continuously evaluate and improve processes through automation, system integrations, and candidate experience enhancements.
  • Track hiring metrics (time to fill, source effectiveness, conversion rates, etc.) and use data to inform decision-making, report progress, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the coordination and completion of all pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, medical clearances, and verification of credentials or certifications. Ensure seamless handoff to onboarding teams and timely communication with candidates.
  • Collaborate with Employment Branding and Marketing to build a destination-specific recruitment identity. Tailor messaging, social media, and advertising to resonate with local candidates while reinforcing Carnival’s global employer brand.
  • Manage and develop a team of TA professionals, ensuring clear goals, strong collaboration, and ongoing skills development. Serve as a mentor and coach, building future talent acquisition leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-cultural partnerships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience with recruitment marketing, workforce planning, and compliance in multiple countries
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish 
  • Preferred:  Experience implementing or using Oracle Recruiting Cloud or similar ATS
  • Strong understanding of labor markets in the Caribbean and Latin America preferred
  • Experience working in the Purchasing dept preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition, including international or remote site recruiting
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams in a high-volume, customer-facing environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • This role plays a critical role within Carnival’s Talent function by leading all recruitment efforts across our private destinations. This role sits within the shoreside corporate Talent team in Miami but has a strong regional and operational reach across the company, as it supports hiring for land-based guest operations. Operating in a matrixed organization. The position serves as a vital bridge between the centralized HR function and on-site destination teams, ensuring alignment of global talent strategies with local needs and business goals. The geographic scope includes multiple destinations across several international locations.
  • This role requires proactive and strategic problem-solving skills, particularly in designing and executing tailored hiring strategies in diverse and sometimes resource-constrained environments. The manager must navigate local labor market challenges, regulatory differences, and hiring logistics across multiple countries. The role involves anticipating staffing needs, analyzing recruitment data, adapting to evolving business demands, and resolving bottlenecks quickly and effectively—all while maintaining compliance and a positive candidate experience.
  • This role has a significant impact on both the business and the communities in which we operate. It directly supports the success of our private destinations by ensuring they are fully and effectively staffed with team members who can deliver exceptional guest experiences. The manager helps shape the employer brand in emerging markets, influence hiring standards and practices, and contribute to economic development in key regions. The hiring strategies and processes developed in this role may serve as a model for future global expansion efforts.          
  • This is a people leadership role, overseeing a team that includes a TA Supervisor and TA Specialists. The manager is responsible for setting goals, developing team capabilities, and driving performance. In addition to direct team leadership, the role also influences cross-functional teams, working closely with local HR and operational leaders at each destination. It requires strong coordination and relationship management skills to lead initiatives across borders, cultures, and time zones. The role may also provide input into resource planning and recruitment budgets related to seasonal and high-volume hiring needs.
  • Understanding of recruiting across different countries, including familiarity with regional labor laws, cultural nuances, and sourcing strategies in the Caribbean and Latin America / Insight into the roles and talent needs unique to resorts, theme parks, or cruise destinations is a major plus / Knowledge of pre-employment screenings, credential verifications, and onboarding processes for regulated or safety-sensitive roles / Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge:  Understanding of recruiting across different countries, including familiarity with regional labor laws, cultural nuances, and sourcing strategies in the Caribbean and Latin America / Insight into the roles and talent needs unique to resorts, theme parks, or cruise destinations is a major plus / Knowledge of pre-employment screenings, credential verifications, and onboarding processes for regulated or safety-sensitive roles / Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.
  • Skills:  Proficiency in interpreting recruitment metrics, dashboards, and analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimize processes / Strong organizational and project management skills to manage hiring events, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives / Skill in anticipating challenges (e.g., delays in background checks, housing logistics, visa issues) and developing alternative paths forward / Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Abilities:  Demonstrated ability to build trust and effective partnerships in diverse, multicultural settings / Ability to tailor approaches to unique local circumstances while maintaining global consistency in brand, values, and process / Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel:  25-50% with non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
