We are looking to hire a Associate Creative Director. We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Associate Creative Director (ACD) to help lead our creative team in shaping the visual and verbal identity of our brand across a variety of marketing channels. This role emphasizes strategic creative leadership, resource and budget management, and the alignment of creative outputs with business goals to drive meaningful results. The ACD will manage a team of designers, copywriters, and video production fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. The role also requires a keen understanding of the competitive landscape, the ability to stay ahead of design trends, and a passion for pioneering creative solutions that set our brand apart.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development:   Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of designers and copywriters, fostering professional growth and creative excellence.  Provide clear and constructive feedback to elevate the quality of creative work.  Build a collaborative and supportive team environment that values innovation, diversity, and inclusivity.

  • Creative Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior to inspire cutting-edge creative solutions.  Lead brainstorming sessions and concept development, pushing the boundaries of creativity while maintaining alignment with brand values and goals.  Advocate for and implement forward-thinking design principles, storytelling techniques, and digital innovations.   Work with creative agency of record and other creative agencies providing creative strategic direction

  • Project Oversight:  Oversee the creative development process from ideation through final delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and brand standards are met.  Collaborate with project managers to streamline workflows and maximize efficiency across projects.

  • Art Direction and Production:  Lead art direction for photo and video shoots, ensuring that all content aligns with the brand vision and strategy.  Oversee pre-production, on-site production, and post-production efforts, partnering with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Partner with internal stakeholders, agencies, and external vendors to ensure creative alignment and consistency across campaigns.  Serve as a key point of contact for bicoastal collaborations and actively participate in agency meetings and production shoots, with travel as needed.

  • Resource and Budget Management:  Partner with the Creative Operations Manager to monitor and analyze resource allocation and workload distribution across projects.  Provide actionable recommendations to optimize processes and ensure efficient use of time, talent, and budget.  Assist in planning and forecasting resource needs, balancing priorities to meet deadlines and maintain creative excellence.  Track project budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with allocated resources and business goals.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • The scope of this role plays an integral part of to our marketing 1:1 and B2B efforts. This person will review, manage, and create for all Princess marketing materials and programs that a consumer would come across prior to purchasing a cruise. From Limited Time Offers to Trade Show experiences to Casino Marketing they will set tone and bring premium excitement to the creative to drive cruise purchases.  The ACD will also consult with our international offices for brand direction to make sure our brand has a cohesive look and feel globally.

  • This role will require "creative" problem solving. It's always thinking of creative ways to tell our story and position our brand both visually and verbally.

  • The ACD impacts directly where our brand tone and visual direction will take. This position is part of the leadership team in creative services and touches the majority of creative projects including photo and video production and post-production.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising of a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in creative roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

  • A portfolio showcasing a range of innovative, results-driven creative work across print and digital platforms. PORTFOLIO or PORTFOLIO LINK MUST BE INCLUDED WITH RESUME FOR CONSIDERATION. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Competent & confident writing in English with excellent grammar, written and spoken communication skills. 

  • Willingness to master and enforce Princess style guide and brand voice. 

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and be flexible in solving problems. 

Travel:   Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions:Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Physical Demands:Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Princess office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
