This position requires collaboration with in-house and external consultants to create and understand site planning and grading layouts. The Associate Architect will develop and maintain construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit, participate in multidisciplinary team coordination, and produce presentation materials using Adobe Creative Suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Essential Functions:
- Support the design, master planning, and documentation of international destination developments.
- Assist with the creation and understanding of site planning and grading layouts in collaboration with in-house and external consultants.
- Develop and maintain construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
- Participate in the coordination of multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, creative designers, and project managers.
- Produce presentation materials and visual storytelling tools (renderings, diagrams, boards) using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support project team in tracking deliverables, schedules, and coordination milestones.
- Contribute to research, feasibility studies, and technical reviews related to site conditions and design execution.
- Maintain clear communication across internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in architecture, with exposure to hospitality, themed entertainment, or destination development preferred. Theme park experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), 3D renderings (SketchUp, or similar) is required.
- Familiarity with Civil 3D is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience creating
- Fluent in Spanish preferred.
Physical Demands: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel: 25-50% with shipboard travel likely

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
