The Senior Analyst Business Development supports the strategic growth of Carnival Corporation’s corporate destinations portfolio by leading project evaluations, developing comprehensive business cases, and delivering competitive and strategic insights that inform investment decisions, partnerships, and long-term development plans.

Working closely with Destination Development leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, this role provides data-driven analysis to support feasibility assessments, financial modeling and go/no-go decisions for new developments and expansion initiatives. The position requires strong analytical rigor, structured problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and Investor Relations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project evaluations for new ports, destination developments, and expansion initiatives, including project sizing, demand assessment, and feasibility analysis

  • Develop detailed business cases incorporating financial modeling, ROI analysis, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Guest Logistics, and Development teams to validate project assumptions, risks, and value drivers

  • Prepare clear, data-backed recommendations to support go/no-go decisions and executive-level approvals

  • Conduct structured competitive assessments, including analysis of value proposition, infrastructure, guest experience, offerings, pricing, and operational capabilities for key destinations

  • Continuously update competitive benchmarks with new developments, including marketing claims

  • Support site visits, mystery shopping, and external research to enhance competitive insights

  • Translate competitive findings into strategic implications and recommendations for development, positioning, and negotiation strategies

  • Support strategic decision-making by providing analytical insights, scenario evaluations, and clear recommendations to senior leadership and Investor Relations

  • Maintain and continuously improve analytical models, datasets, and evaluation frameworks used for business development and feasibility assessments

  • Ensure data accuracy, traceability of assumptions, and documentation of methodologies across business cases

  • Leverage GenAI tools to enhance productivity and analytical depth, including:

    • Accelerating market and competitive research through structured synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data

    •  Enabling rapid scenario development, sensitivity analysis, and option comparison for business cases

    • Drafting and refining executive summaries, business case narratives, and presentation materials

  • Partner with the broader GPDD team to identify repeatable GenAI use cases that improve speed, consistency, and insight generation in strategic evaluations

  • Performs other duties as assigned                                                                                                                         

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field

  • Master’s degree preferred                                                                

  • 3–5+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy, finance, consulting, or business development roles

    • Experience developing business cases, financial models, and strategic evaluations for capital-intensive projects

    • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint

    • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools preferred

    • Exposure to infrastructure, ports, hospitality, travel, or cruise-related industries preferred

  • This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
