We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Inspector, Public Areas to join our Naval Architecture and Outfitting Chapter to help deliver innovative and sustainable cruising, based within our Papenburg site office.
Role Overview
You will be a specialist and recognised expert within and outside your own discipline. As a chapter member, you will play a vital role within a dynamic and agile team, contributing to technical excellence, sharing specialized knowledge, and actively collaborating with fellow team members to foster innovation and achieve excellence.
You will be a recognised representative for the Outfitting discipline in interactions with key stakeholders (brands, corporate entities, consultants, and external bodies, etc.) and other CCS departments. As a Senior Inspector, Public Areas your main tasks will be around construction and inspection supervision of public and their supporting areas on our newbuild projects under construction in Meyer Werft, Papenburg. There may also be the need to visit contractors’ workshops and material suppliers in other locations.
In addition to this your skills and expertise could be utilised to support the ship design and plan approval, for newbuilds and provide post-delivery support as directed by project demand.
Key accountabilities include:
Deep understanding of building public areas onboard cruise vessels and interaction with subcontractors and brand architects.
Understanding of architectural design process, cost complexity and plan approval is desired. Good knowledge of different materials and material suppliers would be advantage.
Basic understanding of related rules and regulations, like USPH and USCG.
Responsible for environmental compliance during all construction and testing phases.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Degree in relevant engineering/architectural discipline or extensive work experienced
Proven technical experience in the maritime industry such as shipbuilding, outfitting subcontractor, material suppliers, or engineering firm in a senior position.
