Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of hotel technical systems, including galley equipment, laundry machinery and recreational water facilities, as well as the associated budgets and inventory
  • Plan and ensure the timely execution of upgrade and replacement projects related to planned and unplanned maintenance, improvements and refits, working closely with brand hotel management to select and install new machinery
  • Manage dry-dock projects from initial planning through execution and commissioning, including budget forecasting and cost control
  • Collaborate with the brand hotel operations department on technical solutions and coordinate with external partners to ensure the timely and successful completion of special projects
  • Manage external service providers by preparing technical specifications, supporting tendering and negotiations, reviewing reports and following up on completed work
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and environmental protection through close collaboration with vessels and the responsible shore-based departments
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess hotel maintenance and condition standards, HESS compliance, company procedures and policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with the fleet team and brand hotel operations department to ensure timely reporting and resolution of findings and technical issues
  • Plan, manage and supervise the Facility Riding Team in line with the defined work schedule, deploying the team as an alternative to external contractors on assigned vessels

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering, or equivalent professional degree with extended working experience in the cruise industry
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in the cruise industry or a related sector, such as a cruise management company, shipyard, or a company specialising in the construction and delivery of cruise ships or specific onboard areas
  • Business fluent English skills and confident use of Microsoft Office 365, especially SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams; experience with Power BI, project management tools or RAID/action logs would be a plus
  • Strong commercial awareness with sound budget management skills and a clear commitment to HESS standards, customer satisfaction and brand reputation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach to technical and operational challenges
  • Proven project management and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate shipboard teams, internal stakeholders, riding teams and external contractors
