Your Responsibilities

Reporting and Supervision

  • Reporting to the nominated superior on board (e.g., onboard Department Head/Riding Team Leader).

  • Work independently for assigned tasks as required by the nominated superior on board.

Maintenance and Operations

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and installation of any kind requested by the nominated superior on board.

  • Assist in transportation and support ongoing activities as required and assigned.
  • Timely completion of requested workload.

Safety and Compliance

  • Responsibility to comply with the HESS regulations, e.g., fire safety, within their assigned workplace and whenever on board.

Workplace Preparation and Cleanliness

  • Preparation of workplace and cleaning up after finishing duties.

  • High attention is given to the cleanliness and execution of smooth work while in operation and out of service.


Your Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as motorman/engine assistant, ship´s mechanic or similar 
  • Craftsman skills which includes handling of all usual tools
