Your Responsibilities

 ​

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cross-brand projects involving public health input (e.g., environmental sampling, chemical reviews, equipment evaluation)

  • Point of contact and SME for vendor management and data integration, overseeing departmental financial processes via company systems

  • Leading recruitment, training, development, and rotation planning of Public Health Officers (PHOs) and Fleet Public Health Officers (FPHOs)

  • Manage events related with water and food safety, pest management, and communicable diseases including outbreak response processes including data analysis, coordination with ships and authorities, and post-event reporting

  • Overseeing policy development and annual review for Tier 2&3 policies and operational procedures in collaboration with internal and corporate stakeholders

  • Prepare and deliver public health presentations and reporting for internal and executive stakeholders (e.g., FMT, HESS, brand presidents)

  • Maintain and analyze public health surveillance systems (food recalls, Legionella, HESS findings) to ensure continuous improvement and risk mitigation, along with Corporate working groups and internal stakeholders

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Public Health, Environmental Health, Public Administration, Health Administration, Medical or other related fields

  • At least 3 to 5 years of management experience in the health care field, that included budget development and monitoring, supervision of staff, and strategic plan development

  • Professional experience in the area of onboard cruise ships and the maritime sector including technical qualifications with Public Health elements is highly desirable

  • Previous knowledge of the CDC’s Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) for Cruise ships

  • Excellent interpersonal, managerial and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

  • Fluent command of English language
