Your Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert for Occupational Health and Safety, ensuring development, continuous improvement and implementation of OHS procedures, processes, and best practices
- Ensure and maintain compliance with applicable national, international and corporate health and safety regulations, and execute dedicated projects
- Undertake ship visits as required to follow up on accidents, near misses, investigations, and workplace risk assessments
- Execute review and proper management of accident reports received from the vessels; support in preparation of accident and incident statistics as required
- Work with the Occupational Health and Safety team to identify opportunities to improve safety culture and support the safety program as required
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or Officer’s license in the maritime field (minimum certification II/1).
- Professional experience in Occupational Health and Safety within the Italian regulatory framework, or in marine safety or the maritime sector would be desired
- Solid knowledge of OHS management systems, particularly ISO 45001 standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of workplace safety principles and risk management
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication across teams and with corporate functions
- Well-developed analytical skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team player
