Your Responsibilities
Join our dynamic team as a Junior Manager Energy and Fuel, where your role is pivotal in optimizing bunker order planning and managing fuel budgets. Ensuring operational feasibility of itineraries, handling claims, and providing constant support for fuel-related issues. - Responsible for coordinating with the Fuel Purchasing team, Chief Engineers, and various teams to optimize bunker order planning both in the short and long term
- Work with the Fuel Analyst to accurately build fuel budgets and forecasts as well as manage financial month end procedures and variance analysis
- Verify operational feasibility of future itineraries from a fuel consumption and availability perspective
- Support the Fuel Purchasing team, Chief Engineer, and Ship Manager in managing both quantitative and qualitative claims
- Provide out of hours cover for fuel related issues that go beyond FOC remit
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Shipping related discipline – nautical, operations, engineering or logistics
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the shipping industry
- Knowledge of LNG, fuel management as well as ISO fuel specifications is mandatory
- Deep knowledge of Office 365 system (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Basic VBA coding skills is desirable and a high level of competence in Microsoft Excel is essential
- Highly organized and structured work approach
- Having strong analytical skills
- Very good English language skills! (English is our company language.). Proficiency in Italian and/ or German is an advantage
