Job Description


The Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist supports high-volume and/or project-based hiring initiatives during a defined assignment period. This role executes targeted recruiting strategies to attract qualified talent, including job fairs, social media and job board postings, advertising, candidate screening, and interviewing.

Working closely with hiring managers and operational leaders, the Temporary Specialist identifies immediate staffing needs and implements focused sourcing plans to meet hiring timelines. This position coordinates all phases of the recruitment process for assigned roles, ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely delivery of talent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinates, facilitates, and implements all phases of the company’s recruitment process and policy.
  • Source and advertise for potential candidates using various online channels and platforms (social media, job boards, company career page, professional platforms etc.,) based on the company’s recruitment process and policy.
  • Collaborates and developing a close partnership with respective department managers and area leaders to identify and write detailed and accurate job descriptions, facilitating ownership of other hiring criteria, and related documentation.
  • Research, identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available roles, industry standards, and the current and future needs of the company.
  • Coordinates job posting and support the job advertisement processes.
  • Responsible for screening applications, resumes, CVs and supporting the selection and communication of qualified candidates.
  • Coordination of the interview process inclusive of scheduling interviews, overseeing the preparation of interview questions, assessments and other hiring and selection materials, attending, and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders where applicable.
  • Collaborates and developing a close partnership with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying start dates, collection of applicants documentation and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with Bahamas employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Plans, attends, and organizes job fairs, in-house recruitment events and other related recruiting activities.
  • Acts as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard based on the company’s on-boarding process and policy.
  • Providing data-driven recruitment status updates.
  • Building connections with relevant organizations, agencies to support finding superior prospects for the company.
  • Continually learning and adapting of new HR processes and industry best practices related to talent attraction, hiring and onboarding.
  • Communicating and supporting internal and external customers to ensure that the company’s staffing plans, goals and milestones are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS SPECIFICS:

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management, record keeping and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS (human resources information systems) platforms.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong understanding of the HR functions, methods, strategies, procedures, and policies.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years minimum of coordinating all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with employees and candidates.
  • Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, and co-workers. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • All island employees must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data entry and reporting tools.
  • Detail orientated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, especially in handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • May be requested to work a shift schedule while at any of the destinations.
