Job Summary
A CCTV Surveillance Operator is responsible for carefully monitoring and operating surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of facilities, personnel, and visitors at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destination. The role involves real-time observation to detect unusual activities, accurate documentation and reporting of incidents, routine system checks to maintain functionality, and proper management of recorded data. By maintaining vigilance and following established protocols, the operator plays a key role in safeguarding people, property, and assets while supporting overall security operations.
Key Accountabilities / Job Functions
1. System Operation and Monitoring
Operates and manages the CCTV surveillance system, including cameras, monitors, and recording equipment.
Monitors live camera feeds and alarm systems to detect suspicious activity, potential security threats, or emergencies.
Responds promptly to alarms and incidents, dispatching security personnel or escalating as appropriate.
Regularly inspects equipment to ensure proper functionality.
2. Incident Response and Reporting
Maintains accurate and detailed records of incidents, alarms, and responses.
Completes daily work logs and escalates issues to supervisors when required.
Collaborates with security personnel, operations, and management to ensure a coordinated response to security situations.
3. Maintenance and Compliance
Performs routine CCTV system maintenance, including cleaning, testing connections, and replacing faulty components.
Maintains daily and weekly checklists to track functionality and record maintenance actions.
Ensures compliance with safety, health, sanitation, and environmental policies while handling equipment and cleaning chemicals.
4. Training, Safety, and Other Duties
Participates in security drills and training to enhance situational awareness and response capabilities.
Promotes a safe workplace by following safety regulations, competencies, and company policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management to support overall security operations.
