Job Description

Are you passionate about bringing stories to life and turning complex information into clear, impactful communication for media and stakeholders?
Join us in Genoa as a PR & Corporate Communication Coordinator, where you’ll support our press office activities, manage day-to-day media relations, and ensure our content is accurate, timely, and aligned across the organization.

Live your ambition. Lead with impact
We are looking for a Coordinator to join our Corporate Communication & Press Office team. This is not a purely editorial role: we are seeking a curious, hands-on professional who thrives in operational environments, proactively gathers information across a complex organization, and ensures that the right content reaches the right audience at the right time.

You will join a dynamic and structured international environment, where communication topics evolve quickly and require coordination with multiple functions. If you are naturally driven to ask “Where can I find the right information?” and “How can I make this clearer and more usable?”, this could be the right fit for you.

You will play a key role in supporting Costa’s media relations and corporate communication activities in Italy, acting as a reference point for content management and press requests. You will operate in a fast-moving environment where your ability to collect, verify, structure and maintain updated information will be essential to enable effective storytelling and media engagement.

Media Relations & Press Office Operations

You will support the execution of day-to-day media relations and press office activities for the Italian market, managing incoming requests such as interviews, press inquiries, and editorial deep-dives. You will ensure consistency of messaging and timely responses by coordinating internally and providing journalists with accurate and relevant information.

Content Collection & Information Management

You will focus on gathering and validating information across multiple departments (marketing, entertainment, culinary, SPA, corporate functions), in a context where content is constantly evolving and not always centrally available. You will build and maintain structured content sheets and topic files that serve as a reference base to quickly develop tailored materials depending on media needs and editorial angles.

Editorial Support & PR Materials

You will draft, edit and adapt PR and communication materials — including press releases, media pitches, Q&A, briefing notes and executive talking points — ensuring clarity, coherence and alignment. While editorial skills are important, your main value will be ensuring that content is accurate, complete and well-sourced.

Press Events & Media Activations

You will support the planning and execution of press events, media briefings, interviews and press trips, including onsite coordination when required. You will contribute to ensuring smooth operations and consistent content delivery across all touchpoints.

Monitoring, Reporting & Insights

You will monitor media coverage and sentiment using dedicated platforms, contributing to the preparation of reports, dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders. You will help translate media outputs into clear and actionable insights.

Stakeholder Coordination & Content Alignment

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and international communication teams, acting as a central coordination point to align content and messaging. You will support cross-functional communication flows and ensure that updated information is consistently shared and accessible.

Tools & Continuous Improvement

You will leverage media monitoring tools, analytics platforms and AI-based solutions (e.g. Claude or similar tools) to support content creation, synthesis and efficiency. You will continuously explore ways to improve processes, enhance information accessibility and optimize day-to-day communication workflows.

What makes you unique

At least 5 years of experience in PR, media relations, press office or corporate communication roles.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related disciplines.

Strong experience in managing media requests and supporting press office operations in a structured environment.

Excellent editorial and storytelling skills, with strong attention to accuracy, clarity and consistency.

Fluency in Italian and excellent written and spoken English.

Good proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Familiarity with media monitoring platforms and PR analytics tools.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A proactive, curious and hands-on mindset, with the ability to independently gather information and navigate complex organizational structures.

Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally in an international environment.

Flexibility and availability to travel approximately once a month for press trips and media events.

Interest in digital communication trends, AI-supported tools and data-driven PR approaches.

Experience in travel, lifestyle, consumer or hospitality industries is a plus.
