We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Entertainment Operations to join our team. This is a hybrid position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this exciting new role, you’ll be responsible for driving the planning and implementation of entertainment concepts, ensuring alignment with brand standards and enhancing the overall guest experience from concept through execution. Working collaboratively across multiple departments, including operations, marketing, creative, and technical teams, you’ll oversee and manage all aspects of entertainment development and execution for transitional sailings, fleet-wide refurbishments, special projects, dry docks, and revitalizations to ensure the delivery of innovative and engaging entertainment experiences.

Responsibilities
- Transitional Sailings & Revitalization Entertainment Development:
- Lead the development, design, and implementation of entertainment offerings for dry docks, refurbishments, and transitional sailings.
- Collaborate with various teams, including Newbuild and Project Management, to seamlessly integrate entertainment concepts into operational plans.
- Ensure offerings align with brand vision, operational feasibility, and guest experience expectations.-
- Special Projects Oversight:
- Oversee the planning and execution of entertainment projects for fleet refurbishments, dry docks, and other special initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Maintain quality control and troubleshoot issues throughout each project's lifecycle.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, guest experience, and technical teams to ensure the seamless integration of entertainment programs.
- Act as a key liaison between entertainment and other departments to facilitate smooth project execution and communication.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of entertainment professionals, encouraging continuous development and professional growth.
- Provide leadership in recruitment efforts for entertainers and production staff, ensuring the right talent is selected for new builds and special projects.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for entertainment programs, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality experiences.
- Allocate resources effectively and monitor expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Quality Control & Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure all entertainment programs meet Princess Cruises’ quality standards, ensuring a superior guest experience.
- Continuously evaluate entertainment offerings, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement to meet evolving guest preferences and industry trends.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:
- Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership regarding newbuild and special project initiatives.
- Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, addressing concerns and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Travel & Site Visits:
- Travel to shipyards, fleet locations, and other relevant sites for inspections, project management meetings, and event coordination as needed.
- Attend key events and productions to evaluate performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Event Coordination:
- Support and oversee the coordination of entertainment for special events, ship inaugurations, or other unique programming needs.
- Assist in organizing large-scale events, from concept to execution, ensuring they align with Princess Cruises’ standards and objectives.
- Innovation & Industry Research:
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to bring innovative entertainment ideas and solutions to the company.
- Experiment with new formats, shows, and concepts to elevate the entertainment experience aboard Princess Cruises’ ships.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in other departmental projects and initiatives as required by leadership or special business needs.
- Address any urgent matters or challenges that arise within the entertainment programs, demonstrating flexibility and quick problem-solving abilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Entertainment, Arts Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years in the entertainment industry, with significant experience in live productions, programming, and project management, ideally in a cruise or hospitality environment.
- Prior experience in managing large-scale projects or newbuild initiatives, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior leaders, creative professionals, and technical teams.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality guest experiences.
- Experience in budgeting, resource management, and vendor negotiations.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Creative thinker with a passion for entertainment and guest experience.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage complex and evolving projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
This is a hybrid role and based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Candidates must be driving distance and comfortable going into the office 3 days per week.

- Base Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
